1999 — 2003
The history of MeMoTronix
Philippe Meirlaen was co-founder of MeMoTronix, together with his then partner.
MeMoTronix was the first computer shop in Oostrozebeke, active from 1999 to 2003.
Private customers, small SMEs and self-employed professionals could buy PCs, laptops, servers and networks there — with an in-house repair service.
MeMoTronix also distributed mobile phones and subscriptions, and was an official distributor of Telenet and Planet Internet ADSL subscriptions at the time.
MeMoTronix also built websites for small SMEs and self-employed professionals. The first professional website was published in 1999 for a plumbing company.
Today the MeMoTronix name lives on as an initiative around AI, automation and digital transformation for SMEs and organisations — with the same pragmatic, locally rooted approach.
